David De Gea, goalkeeper for Manchester United, attended Avenged Sevenfold’s “The Stage World Tour” stop in Manchester, England. De Gea posted a photo of himself and the band, including an Avenged 7 X United jersey he gifted to the band and a short clip of himself enjoying “Unholy Confessions.” Back in 2012, David spoke about being an A7X fan during an interview on the Man Utd website.
UPDATE 2/9: Manchester United has posted a video of David meeting Avenged Sevenfold and a short article in which they talk to him and M. Shadows about it.
“It was amazing,” he declared, when asked about his meeting with the group. “It’s difficult to say with words because I have liked them from a little guy and it was an unbelievable experience for me. I want to go to every concert; I love it!
“When you have someone you like for many years then, of course, you are nervous and excited to meet them. They are Man United fans and it was a pleasure for me to be there, and the concert was unbelievable.”
Lead singer M.Shadows told us: “We’re big fans of United and David. We heard he was a big fan of ours too and it’s great we were able to hook up when we were in Manchester. Hopefully, we can get to see David in action at Old Trafford next time we’re here.”
